Communication is very important. That's a fact.

Dogs communicate by barking, and by making awful smells. This is how they tell other dogs how they are feeling.

Horses communicate by jumping over fences, and waggling their ears. They do this when they are hungry.

Lobsters communicate by clicking their pincers together, spinning around, and by changing colour. Red means danger!

But humans use the power of speech! It's clearly the best way to communicate.

Many countries have different languages. In England, they speak English. In Germany, they speak German. And so on.

But some languages are harder to learn than others. Chinese is more difficult to speak than Eskimo, since Eskimos only have ten words, and they all mean 'snow'.

But Chinese isn't the most difficult language. Oh no! That honour falls to the language of bees, which consists of lots of little dances.
So far, no human has been able to communicate with a bee.

I once tried, but got into trouble when I tripped over and knocked the bees' house over.

They didn't like that.
