Best Card

A pack of cards typically contains 52 different cards, assuming you haven't lost any, which you probably have, because you are an idiot.

The cards can be sorted into 'number' and 'picture cards'. The numbers go from 2 to 10 and the pictures are Ace (1), Jack (11), Queen (12) and King (13). So 1 to 13, times 4... 52! The power of maths there!

The four different groups of cards are known as 'suits' - they are Spades, Clubs, Hearts and Diamonds. Spades and clubs are black, and hearts and diamonds are red.
I'm not entirely sure why are the are coloured as such, but I expect it is because spades and clubs are things that you can kill someone with (kill=black), whilst hearts and diamonds are lovely (love=red).

And that's cards!

You might think the whole system is a bit confusing. And indeed, it is a bit confusing.
The whole idea of cards comes from 1930, when King George of England invented it. Here's the true story of how:

George was the King, he had a Heart and he wanted to play tennis, but there was no net. So he got a Spade and made a net from earth. Then he served an Ace and the Queen shouted "Hey, Jack!" and they all wore Diamonds and for some reason ate a pack of Club biscuits. And then they all did the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, which was a famous dance back then, and is very rare nowadays, and that is why you haven't heard of it.

Anyway, you can see how King George invented cards based on those events!

What, though, is the best card?

King Jack the Ace (a card I created)!
