Joni Mitchell once sang "You don't know what you've got till it's gone".
Of course, she was singing about her teeth!

Early on in her career, Ms. Mitchell had sold her teeth to a Chinese herbal doctor - she was trying to raise money for a 'wah-wah' pedal!
But it was a decision she regretted for the rest of her life - firstly, because 'wah-wah' pedals are absolute rubbish - but also because she soon realised that teeth are very important.

Without teeth, you can kiss goodbye to chewing, biting, whistling and chomping. Indeed, if such a thing is possible, you can even kiss goodbye to kissing. You can do none of these without teeth.

But how to look after your teeth?
Scientists advise us to brush our teeth twice a day, using toothpaste.

Toothpaste is a minty white paste that kills the tiny creatures that live in our teeth and feed on sugar: mouth ants. You should use toothpaste to kill mouth ants.

Of course, it's that awful jelly you find inside a pork pie.

Just imagine brushing your teeth with that.
