Random WOW: ' Strongest Insect '

Least Enthusiastic Applause

In Western cultures, a round of applause, or 'claps' as they are known to the lower classes, is a sign that you have enjoyed a meal.

If you did not enjoy your meal, due to slovenly service, or a sudden insect infestation, it is polite to not applaud at all.

Under no circumstances should you applaud half-heartedly - unless you want to end up a WOW. Like Harry Hawkins.

In 1892, Harry Hawkins had a meal in a 'burger joint'. It was a burger.

Harry did not enjoy his burger due to a sudden insect infestation. And yet he applauded!

His subsequent applause was noted in newspapers of the day as being the least enthusiastic applause in the world, and the record still stands today.
