In the past, a typical phone conversation, such as that example, would have taken place exclusively in the privacy of your own sitting room, or kitchen.
Thankfully, in 1986, someone invented the mobile phone (also known as the 'cell phone') and ever since, such conversations have moved into the realm of the general public. On buses, in trains, walking along the street, booking into a hotel, avoiding a market, climbing a ladder, riding a motorbike, punching a dog, eating prunes... the list is potentially infinite.

How best to celebrate the anniversary of the dawn of this wonderful device?
That was probably the question asked by Simon Hatfield, who first floated the concept of a wireless phone to a then sceptical board of Motorola executives.
Of course, the answer was: dress up one hundred people as mobile phones, and have them all do a funny dance!

Thus, on the 24th of May 2006, the WOW for the most people dressed as mobile phones occurred, as ninety-eight costumed participants (two got lost) did the Macarena around Wenceslas Square, Prague.
