There are many situations where sticking something onto something else is quite desirable.

If you break an expensive pot, for example, you might want to stick the pieces back together. Or if you want to decorate a room, you might want to stick wallpaper onto the walls.

For both of those situations, a man-made glue is available.
Indeed, for almost every conceivable situation, you can find a tailor made, man-made glue available in your local hardware shop.

But believe it or not, some of the strongest glue is NOT man-made.
For example, when I ran over that rabbit, I couldn't scrape it off the road no matter how hard I tried! It was almost as if it had become part of the road itself.

The reason why nature's glue is stronger than man's is simple: nature has had a lot longer to practice.

But don't despair, nature haters. Man-made glue still has a place in the world - you can't use crushed rabbits to hang wallpaper, for example.
It would be far too lumpy, and it would also stink.
Still, the strongest glue is not man-made.

For the strongest glue is the glue that snails use to stick to walls!
It's known as slime!
