Random WOW: ' Longest Continuous Hula Hooping '

Longest Time Playing Bagpipes

Have you ever stepped on a crow?
If yes, you're sure to recognise the sound of the bagpipes, the national instrument of Scotland!

Bagpipes were invented in the 16th century by a publican named Douglas McDouglas. He was attempting to invent an automatic screaming machine, but soon realised his creation could be used for a lot more than simply scaring goats from his herb garden.

Today, bagpipe players can be found playing at many official ceremonies: Hogmanay and New Year's Eve parties to name them both!

The longest time playing bagpipes was 5 hours, 52 minutes and 2 seconds, played by an unknown bagpipe player during the opening ceremony of the Scottish Parliament headquarters in Holyrood, Edinburgh!

An official investigation was later launched to find out who had let him in.
