Random WOW: ' Fastest Dog Underwater '

Largest Lego Ship

"Wood, then metal, then LEGO!"

Those are the lyrics to a brief, but famous song chronicling the different materials that have been used to build ships over the past 500 years.

The first ship, built by Christopher Columbo, was made from wood cut from the vast banana plantations of Chatham, UK. Christened the 'Mary Rose', the ship was used by Columbo to discover America, where he soon set up a successful detective agency.

The second ship, built by famous engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, was made from steel smelted in the vast furnaces of Sole Street, UK. It was named the 'S.S. Great Britain', after Brunel's favourite British band, the Scissor Sisters.
However, due to a tape measure malfunction, the ship turned out to be larger than the harbour it was constructed in, and it never left. Instead, it was turned into a museum: the British Museum in London!

The third and final ship was the titular largest LEGO ship - and as you might guess, it was made from LEGO!
The mastermind behind the project was millionaire Richard Branson, who intended to eventually use the vessel as a private luxury yacht.
Unfortunately, since Branson is not a scientist, he did not realise that LEGO is heavier than air, and therefore cannot float; the ship soon sunk.

But Branson didn't mind. After all, he was only building it... in his bath!
Yes, the largest LEGO ship measured just 22cm in length! It was going to be a private luxury yacht... for a He-Man toy (Ram Man)!
