Random WOW: ' Biggest Tea Bag '

Smallest Jet Aircraft

Were you to travel by aeroplane in 1950, the craft would have been powered by a number of propellers.

If you've ever seen a ceiling fan in action, you'll know how a propeller works. A ceiling fan blows air downwards, cooling the top of your head and throwing all of your important papers onto the floor.
Propellers work in exactly the same way, except backwards! They suck air into them, cooling down the wings of the aircraft. And since cool things will always move towards hot things, the wings fly up towards the sun, taking the rest of the craft with them!

Today, you won't find many aircraft with propellers. Modern craft are fitted with jets, which work by unknown magic.

The smallest jet aircraft is a pigeon with an aerosol deodorant sellotaped to its back!
