Hottest Cup of Tea

Tea, the ancient drink of ancient Chinese Emperors, is quite literally ancient. Perhaps this explains why its method of preparation is so primitive: what other drink requires the use of a tiny net full of old, stinking leaves? Only one other: Lilt.

I have been reliably informed that no textual mention of tea would be complete without mentioning the Boston Tea Party. And here is more than a mention: here is a question!
During the Boston Tea party, when Robin Hood threw all of the tea into the swimming pool, why didn't it turn into a massive cup of tea?

(If you don't want to know the answer, look away now).

The answer is boiling water! In order to make a cup of tea, the water must be boiling. Swimming pool water is not usually boiling, since that would be mildly hazardous.

But you know what body of water definitely was boiling when a tea bag was dropped into it? The water that was used to create the hottest cup of tea, of course!

The hottest cup of tea was created in a famous episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
I can't remember exactly what happened, but it probably involved the holodeck malfunctioning.
