If you're a scientist, you'll know just how vitally important trees are to the survival of humanity.
If you're not a scientist, here is an incredible and possibly shocking fact: trees are vitally important to the survival of humanity!
Ever wondered where air comes from? Yes, air, that colourless, odourless gas that you breathe several times every day, and which causes you to not die?
It doesn't come out of the ground,
It isn't created by robots,
You won't find any in space...
Believe it or not, air comes out of trees!
Yes, due to the miracle of nature, trees eat dirt and turn it into pure air, especially for us! And that explains why monkeys like to climb up trees (air theft).
But trees are living creatures: they are born... and they die. Imagine what would happen if they were all to die - we would have to go to war against the monkeys and take back all of that stolen air. And we all know how that will turn out (Planet of the Apes).
So the efforts of Mark Hamsnort from Ebbsfleet, UK, are to be applauded. For Mr Hamsnort planted, in just one hour, a jaw-smashing 65 trees: enough to produce 25% of the air required by me to type this WOW!
WOW!
