Instructions for doing a wheelie:
1) Get a bike,
2) Climb onto the bike,
3) You are now riding the bike,
4) Jerk upwards,
5) You are now jerking upwards,
6) YOU ARE NOW DOING A WHEELIE!
Reading those comprehensive instructions, you might think that doing a wheelie is simple. How wrong you are! Doing a wheelie is, in fact, the exact opposite of easy: uneasy.
Achieving a successful wheelie requires explosive strength (as might be found in a nuclear explosion), a mastery of balance (as might be found in a circus performer), and the ability to perform under extreme stress (as might be found in James Bond).
It should come as no surprise, therefore, that it was at the culmination of these three special qualities that the WOW for the most wheelies in one minute was set: At the end of that James Bond film where James Bond breaks into the circus, as there is a nuclear bomb hidden inside one of the elephants!
If you look very carefully, during the scene where James Bond is turning off the bomb, a shadowy figure looks like he might be about to start doing wheelies in the background!
And if he had started doing those wheelies, I expect he would have managed to do 4 wheelies in one minute!
WOW!
