BUZZZZZZ!
BUUUZZZZ!
Which of those buzzing sounds was the most annoying?
Please don't email me with your answer. Because that was a trick question - both buzzes are really annoying.
One is the sound of a doorbell (broken), whilst the other is the sound of an electric fan (working).
I'd like to tell you that buzzing is a worthwhile activity - and if you were an attractive female bee (of the human-sized variety), perhaps I tell you that it was.
But it would be a dirty lie!
It's a scientific fact that buzzing is a waste of time. Yes, scientists hate buzzing - ironic, considering it was a scientist who first invented buzzing: none other than moon-mouth Buzz Aldrin!
Yes, the first buzz was created by some suffocating flies which had travelled to the moon inside Aldrin's space pants. Mission control heard them, and thought it was Neil Armstrong playing a kazoo!
But the most grating buzz has nothing to do with either flies, the moon, or kazoos.
The most grating buzz is the buzz made by a short circuiting moisture detector, and sounds a bit like this:
BEERRUUZZZZ!
